Rubicon’s comprehensive programs serve East Bay residents on their paths to economic mobility. Our array of services provides individuals with the tools they can use to overcome systemic barriers to employment and opportunity. All of our programs are free to our participants.

Services Offered
Family Services
Our dedicated team offers coaching on parenting, fatherhood, motherhood, and other related supports.
Financial Planning
We offer courses on financial literacy and provide assistance with banking access, financial coaching, credit score building and repair, budgeting, and saving support. Additionally, we offer free tax services and help with applying for financial assistance.
Education & Training
We offer training and certifications, GED and post-graduation education referrals, career planning, and skills and interest assessments. We also assist with school applications and provide resume training.
Employment Assistance
Our dedicated team supports your career journey with transitional jobs, on-the-job training, job preparedness, job retention support, transportation assistance, resume support, interviewing skills, job search support and recruitment events with employers.
Health & Wellness
We support members facing AOD challenges by encouraging them to seek treatment, recovery programs, one-on-one counseling, and group support. Our services include courses on healthy eating, exercise, and cooking, along with connections to essential medical and behavioral health resources. We also provide free transportation to health and dental appointments, including COVID-19 testing.
Housing Assistance Referrals
Our team works closely with housing partners across Contra Costa County. We meet with our members to discuss their options on shelter placement, rental assistance, SLEs, down payment assistance, and eviction prevention.
Legal Services
Our in-house attorneys provide direct support for a wide range of legal needs, including child support, record expungement, court fines, and support letters. For areas outside our expertise, we collaborate with trusted legal partners to ensure comprehensive assistance.
Public Benefits
We assist our members with applications to receive government assistance, such as Medi-Cal, Cash Aid, and CalFresh.
Coaching & Mentoring
We support our members in their efforts to build valued and empowered lives. We help members set goals and connect to the resources they need to thrive. We also work alongside our members, partners, and allies to increase and maintain excellent accountability.
Ongoing Peer Support
Our dedicated team encourages members to support one another—it is critical to our success. We offer social events and support groups, working with each member to form a network of support that suits their needs.
