Mental Health Care
Rubicon's Mental Health Care team of professionals helps persons with mental illness and chemical dependency achieve recovery. We help people attain the highest level of psychological and social functioning with the fewest possible restrictions. Programs include:
- Day Treatment Program: Rubicon Day Center (RDC) provides structured day rehabilitative services to adults with serious and persistent psychiatric disabilities. These programs help consumers attain their highest level of psychosocial and community functioning with the fewest possible restrictions.
- Independent Living Services: Independent Living Services (ILS) provide essential “life skills” classes as well as counseling, case management and pre-vocational training to help participants develop daily living skills and use community resources more effectively.
- CalWORKs Counseling: The CalWORKs Counseling program provides outpatient psychotherapy, clinical case management, and medication support services to participants referred from county-wide CalWORKs Welfare-to-Work programs.
- Rubicon is the lead agency for the West Contra Costa County Mental Health Services Act full service partnership. Through an assertive case management model, partner agencies are supporting 150 homeless individuals with severe and persistent mental illness move forward into permanent housing and mental health recovery.
