Rubicon has helped define the field of social outcome measurement – Social Return on Investment or SROI - by pioneering the CICERO program evaluation MIS systems. Studies by the Rockefeller Foundation, the Harvard Business Review, the Hewlett Foundation and others consistently find Rubicon’s evaluation system to be one of the potentially most valuable evaluation models for nonprofits. While the SROI outcomes it measures are a valuable research tool for philanthropy, the day to day benefit as a management information system for the organization is the true intelligence behind the system.
